Indian Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given this information. Indian Mobile Congress is starting on 1st October and 5G service will be rolled out on this day itself.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will roll it out on October 1. IMC 2022 is starting from 1st October and will run till 4th October.
The Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) is organized jointly by the Department of Telecommunication and COAI. After the 5G auction in India, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav informed that by October 12, 5G services will start in the country. At the same time, both Jio company and Airtel company have completed preparations for the 5G rollout. Both can roll out their service in October.
Jio and Airtel have prepared for 5G
Jio was the highest bidder in the 5G auction. Airtel is also playing big bets regarding 5G services. Apart from these two telecom companies Jio and Airtel, Voda Idea has also bought spectrum, but Vi company has not revealed the service rollout date. The company had clearly said that they will roll out 5G services according to the demand of the consumers.
When will Airtel 5G launch?
Whereas Jio and Airtel’s 5G service will start in October. That is, you will get their plans and other details before Diwali. However, initially, companies will roll out 5G services in big cities only.
Which cities will get 5G services?
Services will be started in Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Mumbai first, which will be extended to other cities later. Jio has said in its 5G rollout plan that it will roll out 5G services across the country in the next two years.
Whereas, for 5G plans, consumers may have to spend more money than for 4G. However, telecom companies have not yet shared any concrete information regarding the 5G recharge plan.
