Grand ‘Dhan Dhanya’ auditorium built in Bengal, cost 440 crores
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the grand Dhan Dhanya Auditorium built in Alipore, Kolkata on the evening of Thursday 13th April 2023. This auditorium is made in the shape of a conch shell.
The auditorium has been built under the supervision of PWD experts. 6500 metric tonnes of steel have been used to build this six-story auditorium.
The inner structure of the auditorium is made of steel while the outer part is made of zinc sheet. It has been imported from Germany.

This auditorium has three halls, the main hall has a seating capacity of 2000 people, while two smaller halls have a seating capacity of 600 and 300 people.
Its theater is 510 feet long and 210 feet wide, which is probably the largest auditorium in Kolkata.
It cost Rs 440 crore to build it.
