Five Star Business Finance Limited was established in 1984 and is an NBFC-ND-SI (Non-Banking Finance Company) providing secured business loans to micro-entrepreneurs and self-employed business persons. Five Star Business Finance Company has an extensive network of 268 branches as of 30th September 2021 covering approximately 126 districts, eight states, and one union territory of India, with major states being Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka.
The company currently has a strong presence in South India and Five Star Business Finance is primarily headquartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The company had a total of 4,306 employees as of September 30, 2021.
So far the company has provided business loans to a total of more than 185,000 customers. The company had an active business credit base of 176,467 as on March 31, 2021.
Five Star Business Finance company witnessed enviable growth. It has grown in the last 2 years from 173 branches to 268 branches. Over the last 4 years, the live loan accounts have grown 12-fold to 1.92 lakhs.
Financial numbers have also been impressive for Five Star company. For the year financial year 2021, total income grew 34% at Rs.1,051 crore while net profits were up 37% at Rs.359 crore. Its assets under management or AUM currently stand at Rs.4,445 crore and have grown at a CAGR of 86% in the last 5 years.
The IPO will be lead managed by ICICI Securities, Kotak Mahindra Capital, Edelweiss Financial, and Nomura Financial Advisory, as book-running lead managers.
