Recently the company moved its headquarters to Arlington, Virginia. Only last month, the company told that after hiring 15,000 people in 2022, there was a plan to hire 10,000 employees in 2023. The company said some assistant positions would be cut. Boeing also confirmed that it is outsourcing about a third of those jobs to Tata Consulting Services (TCS) in India. Today, Boeing shares closed up 0.4% at $206.81 in the US market.
Boeing said Monday that the company would continue to simplify the corporate structure. Last month, Boeing said it would reduce staff within some support functions. Last year, Boeing said it planned to cut about 150 finance jobs in the US to simplify its corporate structure and focus more resources on manufacturing and product development.
