According to Mark Gurman, Apple is conducting clinical testing of a no-prick glucose monitoring system for the Apple Watch. They claim that the system can do this by shining a light on the skin to measure the level of glucose in the blood. The technique, which is based on infrared spectroscopy, is still under testing. According to the information, Apple’s regulatory team is in preliminary discussions about getting government approval for this technology. However, the company has not released any official update on this.
