Hyundai Venue 2025: Price, Variants, Features & Reviews
The Hyundai Venue 2025 continues to hold its place in the competitive sub-4-metre compact SUV / crossover segment in India. As with previous years, Hyundai has updated the lineup with new variants and feature upgrades, particularly in the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol versions, while retaining the popular 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. The aim is to give buyers more value in terms of comfort, tech, and convenience without drastically changing the design or drivetrains.

Engine / Powertrain Options
The 2025 Venue offers multiple engine options:
- 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol (Kappa MPi) for lower-to-mid trims.
- 1.0-litre turbo‐petrol, offering more power / torque, aimed at buyers looking for spirited drive.
- 1.5-litre Diesel engine in some trims.
Transmissions include manual gearboxes, and where applicable automatic / dual-clutch (DCT) in turbo petrol trims.
Features & What’s New
Hyundai has added or improved several features in 2025, especially for the 1.2L petrol variants.
Some of the upgrades include:
- New Variant: The SX Executive MT (1.2L petrol) has been introduced. It gets features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, smart electric sunroof, smart key with push-button start/stop, fully automatic temperature control (FATC), etc.
- Wireless charger & rear-camera now standard or included in more variants (e.g. S & S+ MT variants).
- Smart key + push-button start/stop introduced in more trims (e.g. S(O) MT) for added convenience.
- Adventure and Knight Editions get some cosmetic / styling enhancements plus feature additions like wireless charging etc.
Safety features in general remain decent for the segment: multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors / camera in higher variants, etc. However, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are more limited in most trims.
Pros & Cons (Review Highlights)
What passengers / reviewers like:
- Spacious interiors for its class; good headroom and knee room in many variants.
- Feature-rich lower / mid variants especially with new additions (sunroof, wireless charger, smart key etc.) gives good value.
- Multiple powertrain options let buyers pick based on their needs (city driving / more power / fuel efficiency).
- Refined ride & decent performance in the turbo petrol / diesel trims.
What users / critics note as drawbacks:
- Lower variants (especially base 1.2L) feel underpowered for highway overtakes or full load. If you expect frequent long-drives or heavier loads, turbo petrol/diesel variants are preferable.
- Some irritants: missing features in certain trims, e.g. lighting in cabin, or expectations from dealers not matching exact variant specs.
- Fuel efficiency in real-world conditions often lower than claimed. Many owners report city mileage falling short during peak traffic.
- Rear seat might feel cramped for three adults on longer journeys; luggage space is average compared to larger SUVs. Noise / NVH could be better in lower trims. (These are typical trade-offs in the sub-4m class.)

Verdict & Who Should Buy It
If you are looking for a compact SUV with a good mix of style, city-friendliness, features, and don’t need a high power output constantly, the 2025 Hyundai Venue offers strong options particularly in mid-trim levels. The newer features in 1.2L trims make the lower end more attractive.
If your priorities are high performance, long highway drives, or maximum feature set (especially ADAS), then go for the turbo petrol or diesel trims, or consider alternatives in segment (Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Maruti SUVs etc.).
Mileage / Running Cost
Claimed fuel efficiencies are generally in line with competitive subcompact SUVs for each engine (petrol & diesel). Real-world mileage may be lower depending on driving style, traffic, and use of AC etc. Higher trims with features like sunroof / heavier wheels may cost more in maintenance and fuel. Having a lower displacement or NA engine helps in city usage.
