Tabassum started her acting career in 1947 with Baby Tabassum Ke Naam Se Ki Thi. Tabassum started her film at a young age. She was only three years old when she appeared on screen for the first time. In 1947, the film “Mera Suhaag” was released. Tabassum played the role of a child artist in this film. Along with this, Tabassum played the role of Nargis Ki Beti in the Film “Deedar”. Due to this, he won the hearts of fans. Meanwhile, he did many films after this.

Tabassum worked in films such as Manjhdaar, Badi Behen, Suhaag, and Deedar. The famous song ‘Bachpan Ke Din Bhula Na Dena’ sung by Lata Mangeshkar was picturized on Baby Taboo. Tabassum played Meena Kumari’s childhood role in the film Baiju Bawra.

In 1985, Tabassum released her first film as a director, producer, and writer. The name of this film was ‘Tum Par Hum Kurban’. In 2006, he returned to the TV show. Tabassum married Vijay Govil, elder brother of Ramayana serial actor Arun Govil. Tabassum’s son is Hoshang Govil.
